For me December is a mix of fun and stress, so I want to share freebies for the holiday season to help us all make it! I love the holiday season, sipping on a hot cocoa next to the fireplace, wrapping presents and singing all of the Christmas songs. But I don’t like juggling the numerous social events, writing the report cards and picking my brain on how to find some festive activities for my students.
That’s why I compiled a list of my favorite French Freebies for the Holiday Season, so you don’t have to get crazy! Just click and grab! Let’s make this Holiday season fun and stress free.
6 Freebies for the Holiday Season
French Christmas Activities & Printables by FLE avec MmeD
I LOVE everything from MmeD’s store. She is really treating us with this Christmas Freebie! The free packet includes a Christmas Bingo, mots croisés, reading comprehension activities and more. I use it with some of my 4th and 5th graders and they love it.
French Digital Christmas Card by Mme I’s Resources
This 23 Google Slide document gives your students the opportunity to create digital Christmas cards by copying and pasting images and text or customizing them according to their preferences. The cards can be printed or sent digitally.
I appreciate how this product allows students to practice their writing skills in a creative and practical way.
French Color by Code for Noël by Mme R’s French Resources
Ikeep a pile of Color by Code sheets for my early finishers. They are great to review basic vocabulary, gender of nouns and verb conjugation. You will be surprised by how much middle and high schoolers love doing them.
French Christmas Positivity Note Cards by Parfaitement Parnell
Cute, cute, cute! Don’t loose a minute! Go print Parfaitement Parnell’s Positivity Christmas Cards and cheer your students up during this Holiday Season. You can also laminate and add them to your Christmas classroom decor: A sweet way to spread some joy and happiness.
French Christmas Brain Breaks by For French Immersion
If you want to share some laughter with your kiddos look no further and go grab this awesome activity from For French Immersion. In a nutshell: Your students use the Brain Break spinners and find out how they will be moving (ex: saute comme un lutin). This is perfect to get them out of their chairs and moving their bodies in between more academic tasks.
Christmas StoryTelling Dice by French with Elise
Have your students roll these two Christmas dice and write a story using the verb (glisser, donner, remercier, offrir, skier or décorer) and noun (un pingouin, une voiture avec un sapin, un cadeau, des gants, un flocon de neige, une pomme de pin) they get. They can roll the dice multiple times to add more to their stories. It is a fun activity to help your kiddos practice sentence building! Perfect for Core French or French Immersion.
I absolutely adore this time of year like I said, but I just struggle finding the time to search for exciting activities this time of year. I hope these make it a little bit easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Have a great Holiday Season!
